Raising Chickens The beginners guide to care feed and facilitate to raise healthy chickens Sara Cornell 9781539908418 Books Reviews
I have reported this listing to for copyright infringement.
I don't know about the specific content of this self-published book, but flipping through the Look Inside, it appears to be quite disjointed, almost as if it were copied and pasted from other sources, which wouldn't surprise me. I also suspect some of the so-called 'editorial reviews' (which are rife with typos, bad grammar and spelling errors) are completely made up. Publishers Weekly? GQ? The Daily Best? I doubt it. I speculate this isn't even a real person honestly. But that's just speculation based on what I see from the listing.
What I DO know for sure though is that the author has STOLEN parts of my bio from my author page! She also lifted parts of another popular chicken authors' bio as well. Go ahead and check for yourself. So considering even her bio isn't original content, I would wonder about the book itself. Buyer beware in this case.
Excerpts from Sara's so-called bio. It doesn't even make sense
Sara Cornell and her husband operate a family farm in Tennessee where they keep poultry and dairy goats, tend a sizable garden, and maintain a small orchard. They grow and preserve much of their own food, make their own yogurt and ice cream, and bake their own bread. Gail has written extensively on raising livestock, growing fruits and vegetables, and related rural skills. Sara has been developing his whole-systems poultry husbandry for decades and has been writing about chickens and other fowl, she provides the know-how to keep your chickens happy and healthy from the small hobby farm in Maine she shares with her husband, flock of chickens and ducks, two dogs and indoor/outdoor tuxedo cat.
When Not writing, traveling, tending to her chickens, ducks, gardens and home or spending time with her husband and their dogs, Sara can usually be found cooking and baking using fresh produce from the garden and fresh eggs from the coop, or curled up in a corner reading or knitting. She loves pretty things, good coffee, classical music and snowflakes - especially at Christmas time
Excerpts from my bio

Raising chickens can be really a fun if we know the right way. If you want to start egg production straight away and don’t want to worry about raising chicks, you may wish to make the decision to purchase adult birds. You will also have a much better idea as to the quality and color of your bird when purchasing adult birds. There are however certain disadvantages that ought to be considered that are directly linked with age. Firstly, it is often hard to tell how old a chicken is once it is an adult.
Being totally unfamiliar about chickens in general, but having a desire to raise them for fresh eggs, I wanted a book which offered good basic information about them and what we would need to properly care for them. This book served exactly that purpose without being overwhelming, and also acknowledged that no one way of doing things is the right way and that the reader should feel free to pick and choose among the offered ideas and suggestions.
You get what you pay for. Some good information, but lots of meandering to get to it.
This book was very general not enough specifics for a novice which I am in regards to raising chickens.
